Bio

Kieland Shea Edmonds

I was born on the 29th of July, 1991, and have been passionately building my portfolio since I was 13 years old. As I began to take a serious interest in designing the bizarre and unsightly characters of my imagination, I eventually found my favorite and most reliable medium to be, simply and traditionally, pencil on paper. This has also gone hand in hand with my love for Photoshop and digital design.

At age 14, I became the youngest student ever accepted into a fourteen week “Introduction to MAYA” course at VanArts. As of 2009, I completed my first professional design job for 1492 Picture’s film “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”. I was asked to do a series of tattoo designs in a one-week deadline, all of which represented mythological greek themes. The designs I did were then approved and accepted by Hollywood director Chris Columbus. These designs can be viewed on the Film Work page.

In 2011, I graduated from the game design program at VFS, in which I had the amazing opportunity of working with my classmates to do artwork, textures and visual designs in the production of our own video game. You can view my work on the Game Design page here.

As of 2012, I have begun to explore my passion for writing, taking a shot at writing my first novel as well as creating a compendium of short stories, which you can now view on my twin website The Midnight Library. My love for words also took me to starting a personal blog site, The Soapboxer, which I often use to write interesting articles about Bible prophecy and how it relates to current world events.

Being perhaps my greatest inspiration, music is also something that I have recently decided to take up. You can visit the Music page to hear the various compositions that I've uploaded to Youtube.

I hope you've enjoyed your tour of my portfolio and I'll be in touch on the Contact page if you would like to get a hold of me. Thanks!
